UCL Bloomsbury Fitness

Bloomsbury Fitness is the student union gym of University College London. It is the most profitable component of UCL student union and has over 10,000 registered members both from the university and outside.

The staff of the gym is drawn from the UCL student body and the general public, with the reception staff primarily undergraduate students from the university.

Facilities

Bloomsbury Fitness has free weight facilities, smith machines, power racks and benches. It also has cardiovascular equipment. The gym allows personal trainers to bring clients to the gym and use its facilities.[1]

Controversies

In 2007 a video was circulated containing nude pictures of men changing on the internet. As a consequence mobile phones were prohibited in the changing areas. A Metropolitan Police investigation was able to identify suspects, however nothing was proven.
